The importance of playground inspections
Playground inspections are extremely important for ensuring the safety of children while they play. A through inspection can identify any potential hazards such as broken equipment, sharp edges or loose fixings that could easily cause injuries. By regularly inspecting your playgrounds, maintenance teams can address issues promptly and prevent accidents from occurring. Not only does it keep children safe, but it also promotes a positive environment where children can have fun without worries. Plus, regular inspections can extend the lifespan of equipment, saving money in the long run.

Annual Inspection
An annual inspection is in-depth and covers a wide range of outdoor play safety issues, this inspection looks at vandalism, minor and major wear, long-term structural problems, changes in Standards compliance, design practices, risk assessments, etc.
Annual playground inspections should be carried out by a specialist who has no affiliation with the playground operator or manager, ensuring that the subsequent written report is entirely independent.
Post Installation Inspection
A post installation inspection is a non-dismantling inspection, it is a legally required assessment that ensures a new playground or new piece of playground equipment has been built and installed correctly and meets safety standards.
A post installation inspection should be carried out by a specialist who has no affiliation with the playground operator or manager, ensuring that the subsequent written report is entirely independent.
Pre-Adoption Inspections
If you are contemplating adopting a play area, it's wise to have a pre-adoption inspection carried out by an experienced industrial professional.
This inspection will help identify any defects, maintenance or replacement equipment that may be required.
A pre-adoption inspection gives you the opportunity to negotiate the play or sports areas repair, prior to you taking on the responsibility of the recreation area, giving you peace of mind from a health, safety and cost prospective.
