Inspection Training Courses

GB Training & RPII Examination Centre For Playground Inspections & Maintenance

RPII Accredited Inspection Training Courses

We can provide RPII accredited inspector training courses in our training & examination centre, or a venue of your choice.

Our RPII Inspection training course covers all aspects of carrying out visual and operational playground inspections. The aim of the course program is to enable delegates to carry out either Routine Visual or Operational Playground Inspections safely, in accordance with the European Standards, and to take appropriate follow up actions.

We ensure that candidates learn how to record findings correctly, and understand the methodology behind them. Consisting of both classroom and onsite tuition, the practical element is carried out at a local play area. The successful candidates will be registered with the RPII for 3 years and will be given an RPII Certificate of Achievement.

We can offer classroom training at our GB Sport & Leisure Training Centre in Weston-Super-Mare, or at a client's venue. Ensuring play safety is essential, both for the protection of the children using the equipment and to mitigate risk for the organisations in charge of play areas. By using accredited playground inspectors, providers can be sure that they meet the strict criteria set by the RPII and that they’ve been fully trained to conduct inspections to the required levels of competence.

We are proud of our candidate's pass rate which exceeds 97%, for routine and operational examinations.

GB Sport & Leisure Training Testimonial's

Jill Batton, Bristol City Council

"We have received Operational & Routine visual playground inspection training from GB Sport and Leisure for a number of years and will continue to do so. We have always found the training undertaken to be very constructive, informative and competent. We've had a very good pass record from our teams that have undertaken the training with GB Sport & Leisure. Their RPII instructors are extremely knowledgeable in this field and their training method makes it easy to understand because they provide lots of examples of what to look for, rather
than just telling you. Therefore I have no hesitation in recommending GB Sport and Leisure in providing Playground Inspection Training."

David Hartley, Ashford Borough Council

"I have been working with Colin Lewis and the team at GB Sport and Leisure for the past 7 years. They are my ‘go-to’ supplier of all things play area related as well as advice on all aspects of play areas. Colin has a wealth of knowledge in all designs of play equipment and has been able to help me with difficult repairs on the 50+ play areas I maintain throughout Ashford Borough. In 2017 I asked Colin to provide RPII training for the Operational Inspection of play areas. This was a course where Colin provided the training along with Nick an RPII trainer who conducted the RPII examination. Colin’s experience enabled him to provide a very in-depth training session which enabled all 6 of my staff to pass the Operational exam."
